Westly Ferris is in love with his co-worker, Shannon, but she barelyknows he's alive. When he builds up enough courage to ask her out, hefails miserably.But that night Shannon contacts Westly on the internet and offers him asecond chance: the opportunity to get to know her better online. Despite company policy forbidding intra-office relationships, Shannonsuggests an internet relationship, using web cameras and instantmessaging. The two coworkers begin an online romance, talking all nightlong. With each passing night, Westly falls more and more in love withShannon, perceiving her aloofness at work as an attempt to cover-uptheir illicit online relationship. After an aspiring filmmaker celebrates his anniversary with his fiancé, he grows increasingly paranoid that she has been unfaithful. Unable to confront her directly on the matter, he decides to do the only logical thing an untrusting man can do: hide cameras in their bedroom and follow her. When the footage is reviewed, his worst fears are confirmed. With his sanity slowly on the decline, the decision becomes final. His fiancé and her lover must be killed, but first the young filmmaker seeks out others committing the same immoral acts, with the intention to ‘dispatch’ them first and leave a simplistic trail of bread crumbs that will lead the police to assume his fiancé and her lover are merely victims of an artificial serial killer. However, once the acts are done, the filmmaker’s lust for justice remains. With the urge for truth boiling in his gut he finds others that have been living secret lives, abducts them and mercilessly interrogates each person. Pushing them to confess their pathetic reasoning behind the acts they have committed. All the while he documents his so called crimes and creates the first ever, Crimeumentary.
